Julie’s Final Account: Retirement

After many years of dedication and leadership, Julie Franer, Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle at Sierra View Medical Center, is retiring. Julie has been an integral part of the Patient Financial Services Department, serving Sierra View patients and the community with unwavering commitment. Her journey with Sierra View began in December 1999, paused in 2012, and resumed in 2014, marking nearly two decades of service.

Julie’s path to healthcare began in her hometown of Lancaster, where she took a billing class and interned in Medical Records. A full-time billing position opened up, and from there, her passion for the field grew. “I was looking for a way to provide for my family,” Julie shared. “The rest is history.”

Julie’s connection to Sierra View is one of purpose and community. Although she doesn’t live locally, she initially came to help address financial challenges. “The most rewarding thing was seeing the financial improvement we accomplished,” she said. “I was blessed to work with some incredibly talented, committed, and amazing people, and that is what makes SVMC so special.”

In her role, Julie’s department played a vital part in a patient’s journey, assisting them with complex financial matters. “Our role is to help patients navigate financial challenges by being a resource for any questions or obligations they may have,” she explained.

Julie’s passion for fostering growth within her team has left a lasting impact. “I care about developing people and helping them achieve their dreams,” she noted. As she looks ahead, Julie hopes Sierra View will continue to prioritize financial health, ensuring quality care remains accessible to the community for years to come.

In retirement, Julie plans to travel and spend cherished time with her grandchildren. While she will be greatly missed at Sierra View, her legacy of excellence, leadership, and compassion will continue to inspire us.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Julie Franer for her years of service and wish her all the best in this new chapter of life!
