Sierra View Foundation’s Golf Classic Drives Success for Local Healthcare
On Friday, the Sierra View Foundation teed off for local healthcare at the 19th Annual Sierra View Golf Classic! With 112 golfers forming 28 teams, the event was a resounding success, raising vital funds for the Sierra View Foundation’s mission of providing quality healthcare services.
Despite the brisk weather, participants eagerly took to the green for a great day of golf and community support. Throughout the course, vendor booth sponsors such as SEVA Home Health and Hospice, Unitek College, Westgate Gardens, Sequoia Transitional Care, and J&R Meat Company engaged golfers with valuable insights into their services.
Adding to the excitement, attendees had the chance to test their luck with a digital raffle. Golfers, community members, and SVMC employees were able to purchase tickets for the raffle featuring over 40 prizes, including the Pot of Gold valued at nearly $600 in local gift cards. The generous support from raffle ticket purchasers greatly contributed to the success of the fundraising efforts and the Sierra View Foundation's mission.
The day concluded with the presentation of golf awards. The first-place team was Ron Wheaton, Joseph Wheaton, Dr. Ashok Behl, and Ulysses Madrigal. Shannon Brown and Cece Townsend secured the titles of Men's and Women's Closest to the Hole, respectively. The Longest Drive went to Aaron Williamson. The success of the 19th Annual Sierra View Golf Classic would not have been possible without our generous sponsors, including our Presenting Sponsor, Bank of the Sierra. With 38 total sponsors ranging from presenting sponsor to tee sign sponsors, the collective effort showcased the community's dedication to advancing healthcare services at Sierra View Medical Center.
Since 2001, the Sierra View Golf Classic has raised over $500,000 in total contributions. From funding cutting-edge medical equipment to nurturing the next generation of healthcare professionals through SVMC’s Graduate Medical Education, the impact of these contributions is felt throughout our entire healthcare district. This year, the Sierra View Foundation remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing healthcare services by fundraising for critical medical equipment, including four fetal monitors, a Stryker Surgery Light, and an in-patient dialysis treatment system at Sierra View Medical Center.
The Sierra View Foundation thanks all participants, sponsors, and donors whose generosity has helped propel the 19th Annual Sierra View Golf Classic to new heights. We look forward to continuing the Foundation’s mission of supporting Sierra View Medical Center and advancing healthcare in Tulare County.
