Welcoming Our New GME Internal Medicine Chief Residents

Sierra View Medical Center is excited to announce that our second Graduate Medical Education (GME) class is entering their final year of Internal Medicine Residency. Over the past two years, this class of X residents has gained valuable knowledge and insights in the field of internal medicine right here in our community. As they step into their final year, we look forward to seeing them thrive in their careers and make a significant impact in Tulare County and beyond.

With this new graduating class, we also have the pleasure of introducing our new Chief Residents who will lead and inspire our Internal Medicine Residents. Meet our new Internal Medicine Residency Chief Residents:

Dr. Pauldeep Mann’s journey in medicine began at UC Berkeley, where his passion for the sciences and research led him to a career in medicine. His work in prion research at the University of California, San Francisco and in the biomedical sector, where he contributed to FDA approval for a novel device, solidified his calling. After medical school at Des Moines University in Iowa, Dr. Mann returned to the Central Valley for his residency at Sierra View Medical Center.

“As a native of the Central Valley (Selma, CA), I was motivated to return and train in the region of my upbringing. I recognize the difficulties that many in these communities face, and I felt training here would best prepare me to serve the patients in the valley,” said Dr. Mann. "As Chief Resident, I look forward to teaching and training residents to the best of my abilities. To now be in my last year of residency, I can see the growth I've had at SVMC so far. I'm excited to give back to other residents and also complete my residency training to prepare myself for real-world practice.”

Samantha Limvalencia, MD

Dr. Samantha Limvalencia, a second-generation immigrant and the first physician in her family, has always enjoyed challenging herself and others to be the best version of themselves. She values Sierra View’s culture of support, camaraderie among staff, and its collective community focus.

"As chief resident, I want to foster a positive culture amongst the next generation of Central Valley physicians, empowering them to create a lasting impact by serving the local community as the best version of themselves," said Dr. Limvalencia. "I appreciate Sierra View’s commitment to support and camaraderie, which aligns with my own values."

Akashdeep Khahera, MD

Dr. Akashdeep Khahera completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Barbara before attending Gian Sagar Medical College in his native country of India. His love for Tulare County and dedication to the region guided him to Sierra View Medical Center. He is passionate about promoting wellness among GME residents and fostering camaraderie.

Dr. Khahera truly loves Tulare County and has ties to the region. "That really helped me hone down where I wanted to be and Sierra View was at the top of the list," said Dr. Khahera. "My most valuable goal for the year is to promote wellness amongst GME residents and camaraderie. I want to be an ambassador for Medical Education in the community as well."

We are thrilled to see these Chief Residents lead over the next year and are confident in their ability to inspire and guide their peers. Congratulations to our new Chief Residents and best wishes to all our third-year residents as they enter their final year of residency at Sierra View Medical Center.
