Welcoming Nurse Practitioner Otilia Zepeda to the Sierra View Community Health Center

Sierra View Medical Center proudly introduces Otilia Zepeda, FCP-C, as the newest addition to the Sierra View Community Health Center in Terra Bella. Otilia brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to patient care in her new role as nurse practitioner, marking a significant milestone in her journey with Sierra View Medical Center.

Otilia's journey with Sierra View Medical Center began in 2009 when she started as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. Her dedication to compassionate patient care helped her rise to the role of charge nurse, where her outstanding contributions were recognized with awards such as Employee of the Month and Daisy Award recipient in 2016.

Driven by her passion for patient care, Otilia furthered her education at California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing. Now as a Nurse Practitioner at the Sierra View Community Health Center, Otilia is eager to expand access to care in the Terra Bella community, particularly focusing on the Hispanic population. Her goal is to create an environment where the Hispanic community feels comfortable seeking medical attention, ensuring that their health needs are met with understanding and compassion.

Otilia's favorite aspect of being a nurse practitioner is the opportunity to transform patients' perspectives on medical care. She shared, "I've had a lot of patients that thank me for helping them understand their medical care, such as what kind of checkups they should have."

For aspiring nurse practitioners Otilia shares valuable advice: "Do it because you love caring for patients.” She emphasized that genuine love and passion for patient care not only pushes you forward in your career but also helps protect against burnout.
