April 2022 Employee of the Month: Diana Lopez, LVN

Sierra View Medical Center’s Employee of the Month is Diana Lopez, LVN. Diana is a nursing professional in the hospital’s Employee Health Services (EHS) department. Throughout the year, Diana and her team play a key role in ensuring that all SVMC Employees are up to date with vaccines, TB tests, and other EHS requirements. She takes care of every SVMC new hire and ensures they are ready to hit the ground running as they arrive here. Throughout the pandemic, she continues to help ensure that employees who test regularly complete their weekly COVID-19 testing.

During May of each year, Diana is responsible for completing TB tests by all employees. She also leads the efforts to help staff complete their yearly fit testing. In addition to her regular duties, she also cares for the Mandatory May responsibilities in her department. Diana’s flexibility to come in earlier to help make the process more convenient for staff shows her great degree of flexibility to do what is best for hospital staff.

“Diana always has a smile on her face when I see her and she really knows her job,” says Denise Bryant, who nominated Diana for the Employee of the Month award. Denise works in Patient Financial Services and says she’s noticed just how compassionate Diana is. “She understands that we do not like to get poked with a needle,” she says. “She will even tell me to breathe and that everything is okay.” And that is the type of gentle handling all staff can expect when working with Diana!
