February 2022 Employee of the Month: CLS Brian Pedersen

Our Employee of the Month for February 2022 is Certified Lab Scientist (CLS) Brian Pedersen. Brian was nominated for the award by SVMC’s Laboratory Manager Laura Nielsen, also a CLS.

“Brian is our go-to person when we need coverage for call-ins or vacation days. He is willing to cover any area of the Lab and any shift at a moment's notice,” says Laura.

As a more recent CLS, Brian is already very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions that others may have. Brian is known for lending a helping hand in tasks like unpacking if there is a lull in his own workload. He’s also known for keeping a very well organized and tidy work area. “All the while as he does these things he keeps a calm demeanor and treats everyone with respect. And of course, patient care takes priority in everything he does,” adds Laura.
