Support staff who provide process support can wear their favorite jeans on the 5th Friday of months that have one!
2021 Fifth Friday Free Jeans Dates:
• Friday, October 29, 2021
• Friday, December 31, 2021
No badge sticker or cost is associated, but employees must be compliant with the dress code.
Patient Care Areas: Clinical employees with direct or indirect patient care responsibilities and support staff who provide services that assist the direct/indirect patient personnel cannot participate due to their uniform requirements and Infection Prevention requirements.
Here are a few additional dress code standards for Free Jeans Friday:
• No torn, overly worn, or excessively baggy jeans.
• Pant jeans must be at least ankle length. (Jeans cannot be more than 1 inch above the ankle).
• No denim shirts or jackets.
• Refer to the dress code from the Employee Handbook.
If you’re not sure if you can wear blue jeans in your work area on Free Jean Fridays, be sure to ask your Department Director. They are responsible for interpreting and monitoring the dress code standard in your work area. Sometimes, it's the small things at work that make things like this fun for our support staff! So throw on your favorite blue jeans on October 29th.
