The Lowdown on Changes to the Recent Face Covering Guidelines here at SVMC
Weekly Update
The CDPH has now adopted the CDC's latest face covering recommendations for healthcare settings effective immediately for situations where 100% of those present in the room/area are vaccinated and can prove that they are vaccinated by showing their EHS RED COVID-19 vaccination sticker issued by SVMC Employee Health Services.
For those employees who are fully vaccinated and have a red COVID-19 Vaccination badge sticker, masks are not required for the following situations:
In meetings – no need to social distance or mask
In break rooms – no need to social distance or mask
In work areas - (NOT applicable in patient care areas or areas that work directly with the public) no need to mask or social distance
The above can be applied ONLY if 100% of those present, are fully vaccinated and have their red COVID-19 vaccine sticker issued by SVMC EHS. If anyone comes into that area whose vaccination status cannot be verified by the visualization of the red badge sticker, everyone must mask and socially distance.
In all other situations, other than the listed above, face coverings are to be worn at all times, including when moving through SVMC facilities (inpatient or outpatient).
Visitors are still required to wear face-coverings while visiting our facilities. For information regarding SVMC's visitation guidelines, please visit sierra-view.com/visitors.
