SVMC Welcomes Joy Boxes for Pediatric Patients

Part of our mission at SVMC is to promote health and ensure access to quality health care services through partnerships and collaborations. Recently, SVMC teams from our HR, Chaplaincy, Medical-Surgical, and Emergency Care departments partnered with Spread The Joy Foundation to welcome dozens of Joy Boxes for pediatric patients. Joy Boxes are expertly designed by child life specialists, therapists, parents and most importantly, children. Each Joy Box contains thoughtful materials to make a child's hospital stay memorable; such as coloring books, fun games, and stickers. Pediatric Nurse, Elizabeth Flores, RN and Certified Nurse Assistant, Olivia Beltran Hernandez will be happy to help pass these out to our youngest patients.
