Local student artists from our school districts felt called to share words of appreciation and artwork inspired by the work of SVMC health care workers. Students from elementary to high school recognize the sacrifices local health care workers continue making to keep them and their families safe and to care for them if they fall ill.
Recently, we received a beautiful volume of art donations and Christmas cards. To ensure that we share the love with everyone, we've placed a whiteboard featuring arts donations so that patients and staff may have the opportunity to themselves be inspired by the kindness of our community's talented student artists.
Art Can Heal
Each artist has their own vision in creating artwork that communicates their view of the world. In a hospital, each health care worker has a sense of how their role here can help heal the patients that they interact with or indirectly affect. We hope that our health care workers find a level of healing in seeing themselves through the lens of some of our community's most innocent eyes - those of our children.
Special thanks to Burton Unified, St. Anne's and PUSD for the shows of appreciation!
