Porterville’s Vaccine Roundup Returns in January 2022

Porterville, CA – December 27, 2021:

Porterville’s City Council has approved to move forward with two more Vaccine Roundup events in January 2022 in collaboration with Sierra View Medical Center-Imperial Ambulance. The intent of the events continues to be addressing the pandemic and motivating community members to receive COVID-19 vaccines while rewarding them with a $100 Gift Card to a local Porterville business and helping to strengthen the local economy. The gift cards continue to be federally funded through the American Rescue Plan Act and coordinated by the City of Porterville. To date, more than 9,000 incentivized vaccinations have been administered in relation to SVMC-Imperial Ambulance vaccination efforts supported by the City of Porterville.

The first Vaccine Roundup of the year will be the seventh Vaccine Roundup in the event series that began in August 2021 and will take place on Thursday, January 6, 2022; Friday, January 7, 2022 and Saturday, January 8, 2022. The hours of operation will be 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. at 385 Pearson Dr., Porterville, CA 93257. Community members are asked to please arrive no later than 5 p.m. on event days.

This event will feature $100 Gift Card Incentives for individuals 12 years of age and up receiving a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Community Vaccination Clinic.

This event will feature $100 Gift Card Incentives for individuals 12 years of age and up receiving a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at the Community Vaccination Clinic.

Community Vaccination Clinic

The SVMC-Imperial Ambulance Community Vaccination Clinic continues operating weekly Thursdays – Saturdays, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. On New Year’s week, the vaccination clinic will only operate on Thursday, December 30, 2021 and be closed on Friday, December 31, 2021 and Saturday, January 1, 2022 in observance of the holiday. The clinic will resume regular hours on Thursday, January 6, 2022 to welcome the first Vaccine Roundup event of the year.

Available COVID-19 Vaccines

• Pfizer-BioNTech
  • 1st Dose, 2nd Dose: Available to individuals 5 years of age or older.
  • Boosters: Available to individuals 16 years of age or older.
  • Pediatric Doses: Pediatric doses of the vaccine for children 5 – 11 years of age are now available at the clinic. However, children 5 – 11 years of age do not qualify for the $100 Gift Card incentive.
• Moderna Boosters (No 1st or 2nd Doses of Moderna available): Available to individuals 16 years of age or older.
• Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen: Not available at this clinic.
