Dr. Jeffery Hudson-Covolo, Sierra View Medical Center, Elected to the Association of California Nurse Leaders Board of Directors
Dr. Jeffery Hudson-Covolo, DNP, RN, Vice President for Patient Care Services & Chief Nurse Executive, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Association of California Nurse Leaders, a statewide organization that develops nurse leaders and advances the professional practice of nursing in order to improve the health of California communities. In this position, Dr. Hudson-Covolo will represent the voice of nurse leaders in Central California.
“I am excited to represent professional nurse leaders in Central California for the next two years on the ACNL Board of Directors. It is essential for our leaders in healthcare policy and nursing education to have their voices heard at a time when expanding roles for nurses are emerging, patient access to primary care is uncertain and financial stakes are high,” said Dr. Hudson-Covolo.
Dr. Hudson-Covolo has been in his Chief Nurse role at Sierra View Local Healthcare District for the last four years. As the Chief Nurse, he oversees patient care across the healthcare district for inpatient and outpatient services, serving the community of over 115,000 residents. Dr. Hudson-Covolo has served at the executive level as a chief operating office and chief nursing officer for the last 14-years, and as a nurse for nearly 30-years. He has been a member of ACNL for 4-years, serving on the Communication/Voice Committee. He holds a doctor of nursing practice degree from Chamberlain College, with a focus in healthcare systems leadership. Dr. Hudson-Covolo is the chair of the Tulare County Workforce Investment Board’s Healthcare Advisory.
