Chaplaincy Services

Our Chaplaincy Services team is dedicated to providing spiritual care services to our patients, visitors, and employees. Our chaplains are available to talk and pray with patients and their family members throughout the day.

Chapel Information

The SVMC Chapel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Chapel is a simple and beautiful space with inspiring stained glass windows. Just outside the chapel, is our sunny Meditation Garden with a soothing fountain and comfortable seating for visitors.

Free prayer cards for multiple religions, Bibles, devotional booklets, and colorful children's Bible storybooks are provided in English and Spanish for you courtesy of friends of Chaplaincy Services. Please enjoy these items, they are free to take home.

Prayer Requests

Our Chaplaincy Team is honored to pray with you. Any time you have a prayer need, Chaplaincy is here with confidential prayer support. To submit your prayers, please fill out a prayer request form located in the Chapel and across several hospital floors. You can also complete our online prayer request form below. All prayer requests remain confidential.

Baby Blessings

Whether you are a first-time mother or you've been down this path before, we understand the birth of your baby is a special time in your life. To cherish this moment, our Chaplaincy Services Team offers a spiritual blessing for newborn babies at Sierra View Medical Center.

A Baby Blessing is a special prayer carried out by a member of our Chaplaincy Services Team. Any new mother or parent can request a Baby Blessing during their time in our Family Birth Center. Patients may contact their nurse for information on after-hours blessings.
