Welcome to the Sierra View Medical Center’s GME Program. I’m Dr. Jeffery Hudson-Covolo, VP of Patient Care Services & Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) and Chief Academic Officer & Founding Designated Institutional Officer (DIO). Thank you for your interest. We are excited to offer a community-based Internal Medicine Residency Program.
We are committed to maintaining a residency program of the highest academic standards with a hands-on environment to best prepare you for your internal medicine career. Because of who we are and the values we share, our faculty fosters a supportive and collaborative relationship with medical interns and residents.
Our program will cultivate and train superior internal medicine physicians for our region and beyond. About Dr. Jeffery Hudson-Covolo, DPN, RN, NEA-BC:
In addition to being the VP of Patient Care Services & Chief Nurse Executive (CNE) and Chief Academic Officer & Founding Designated Institutional Officer (DIO) at Sierra View Medical Center in Porterville California, Dr. Jeffery L. Hudson-Covolo is also a Visiting Professor in the graduate Nursing Program for Chamberlain University, College of Nursing. He is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, American Organization for Nursing Leadership, Association of California Nurse Leaders, American College of Healthcare Executives, and Sigma Theta Tau International. He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice in Healthcare Systems Leadership from Chamberlain University. Dr. Hudson has been a nurse for more than 30-years.
He is an international and nationally known speaker on Population Health and the Patient Care Experience. He is a peer-reviewed published author. He was elected to the Association of California Nurse Leaders Board of Directors (2018-2020) representing Central California. He serves his local community serving on local boards, such as the Chair of the Tulare County Workforce Investment Board Health Advisory, and Chair of the Lindsay High School Health Academy Advisory Board.
