Meet the Sierra View Foundation Co-Chair

It’s golf tournament week and you can bet this is when you see Tara Everett, our Sierra View Foundation Co-Chair and one of the top sales representatives at Central Valley Business Forms shine! Tara has enjoyed seeing her volunteer efforts on the foundation go towards a good cause and is ready to help in an even greater way this year; starting with the Sixteenth Annual Golf Tournament, happening this Friday.

“I really enjoy working with the foundation members in planning fundraising events and seeing all our hard work pay off,” says Tara, as she explains what she likes most about being involved with the foundation. “Once an event is finished and as funds that will benefit our local hospital start rolling-in, is when I feel proud to be a part of the Sierra View Foundation,” Tara says.

“I would like to see more of the community aware and engage in events hosted by the foundation so that we can continue to raise money that is used to support SVMC; whether it be purchasing necessary and more sophisticated medical equipment or other needs that benefit our local medical center,” Tara said. “By growing our events and making them more profitable, it will help us all as a community in the long run.”

Tara has worked closely with Sierra View Medical Center staff for several years and has seen first-hand what the hospital provides to the community. After participating in a Dancing with the Stars themed SVF fundraiser gala and dancing in the competition, which was the main entertainment for the event and a key component in raising funds, she knew from that moment, she wanted to become even more involved with the foundation so that she could give back to her hometown’s hospital and healthcare system.

Tara truly believes there is not a better feeling in the world than helping others and seeing a difference she is making in the community. Knowing her volunteer efforts are making an impact on bettering the hospital and our community is why she has stepped-up to serve as Co-Chair for the foundation this year and it is the reason she gives her time to several other local organizations such as the Visalia Community Enhancement Foundation Board and the Boys & Girls Club of the Sequoias and serves on the Community Action Team for the Strathmore location. In years past, she was a Porterville Chamber member and an ambassador; was on the Valley Adult Day Services Board; and active with the Hands in the Community organization.

Just as she thoroughly enjoys building relationships with her clients and assisting them in growing their businesses, she has the same type of goals for the Sierra View Foundation and she really gives it her all. We’re glad to have Tara and we look forward to the future as we continue to support SVMC!

In light of the golf tournament and because it is one of Tara and the rest of the foundation’s priorities to see that this tournament is a success, if you have not already sponsored, donated or participated in the raffle, this is your last chance!
