Our Breastfeeding Resource Center offers a range of supportive services
for expectant mothers and throughout the breastfeeding journey. We provide
free resources and expert guidance in both private and group settings.
As Tulare County's sole Baby-Friendly hospital, we prioritize the mental
and physical well-being of children by adhering to the current evidenced-based
breastfeeding practices.
If you would like additional assistance with breastfeeding after you leave the hospital, you can make an appointment to visit privately with a Lactation Consultant at the Breastfeeding Resource Center. A Lactation Consultant can assist you with:
Whether you’re expecting or currently breastfeeding, our monthly Breastfeeding Classes are here to support you. Led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), these sessions provide clear, research-based guidance to help you feel confident and prepared. Topics include what to expect with breastfeeding, strategies for success, comfortable nursing positions, and how to achieve a good latch.
Classes are offered in English and take place from 4:00 – 5:30 PM at the Breastfeeding Resource Center, located on the second floor of the Sierra View Medical Center Medical Office Building.
